I was sold a blacklisted cellphone

<p>I have been a regular user of Takealot.com, therefore when I needed a new cellphone in December 2016 I did not hesitate to use their services.</p> <p> </p> <p>I received my cellphone within 24 hours of oddering and I was using the phone for less than 2 months when it stopped working. When I investigated the matter further I found that the cellphone was blacklisted. I was shocked at the news and can only assume that I was sold a ****** phone.</p> <p> </p> <p>I immediately contacted Takealot.com who to date still have not replaced my cellphone or refunded my money. They have been making empty promises to replace my cellphone. Without a cellphone I can't reach my clients which is making my work suffer, I drive around with my young children without a cellphone which is a risk to my security.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am very disappointed as Takealot.com delivered the original phone within 24 hours but I have had to suffer without a cellpone for over 2 weeks as they are now suddenly unable to set the record straight.</p> <p> </p> <p>According the the Consumer Protection Act I have the right to receive the product that was advertised. I bought a cellphone that was advertised as brand new and fully functioning. I now have a blacklisted phone that can't be used. I also have the right to return products that are not satisfactory.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am writing this review as I have not been able to receive anyting from Takealot.com except empty promises and I do not want the same thing to happen to my fellow consumers.</p>
