I am not the only one having this problem. Takealot is quick to take my money. Items are supposedly available when paid for and delivery within up to 5 days is promised. I waited 2 weeks with no communication. Only when I emailed and enquired, then I phoned, I was told that they're having problems sourcing the items. This is ridiculous. Often the items are cancelled on their side days after empty promises and the customer is credited. A friend of mine was supposed to receive a bicycle last week for her child's birthday today. Now she said it will arrive tomorrow, a day after the big day. They had to drive to a neighbouring town 120km away to buy a gift for the child on Friday.
