Horrified

I returned a laptop to Takealot. That is the exact laptop I received in the box from Takealot. The laptop was not the same as the box, but I only found that out 2 days before i requested the return. I am not computer clever, at all, but I took screen shots of the computer that was advertised by Takealot and sent the specs to work and they said it would be fine.

So i purchased the laptop, expecting to open it and switch it on and be able to just do the Asus Switch. Well, I switched it on only to find NOTHING. The microsoft product key on the side of the box had expired, the ASUS warranty i tried to use had expired a few years ago, and there was absolutely NOTHING on the laptop. It was like an empty shell.

So I started with trying to get My Asus, to move things over, and with that said, came lists of things i had to download for the laptop to actually work and run properly.

That laptop that was sent to me, is not the same as what was said on the ad or on the box (not sure which one). It should have been better. According to the specs on the actual machine. But it was not. It slowed down, could not connect to my 5Ghz wifi, only the 2Ghz. I could not open more than 1 tab, and when the power went off, even though we were plugged into the inverter, the laptop all but shut down. Now they will not accept my return for something that was their own fault. Either they messed up so bad and will not admit it or someone in packaging is seriously taking customers for a ride. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ELECTRONICS, if the box is open, send it back. I will not accept this, "its not the same nonsense". That was one of MY issues on my return log. It is not the same! That is the exact one I got from Takealot. In an unsealed box, and with no normal welcome Asus booklets or anything. I have been buying Asus laptops for a while, and they always have atleast 2 booklets or papers in the box, and everything nice and ready to switch on and go.
