HORRIBLE SERVICE AT ALL TAKEALOT.COM OFFICES
I've signed up to sell items on Takelalot.com on 20 July 2022. I've been in all their webinars trying/attempting to sell items I had. Well, it’s been one of the worst experiences I've had and the level of assistance is non-existent. The first person I was in contact with was Margaux Jarvis who I thought did a good enough job till a certain point. You cannot get hold of her and will only respond to an email a day or 3 later. Luckily we made an appointment and she called me to assist me loading the items on the portal. I've had numerous issues after that but couldn't get hold of her as I had to call their dreaded call center. I ended up emailing her where she "assisted" me again.
As I'm a complete novice to the Takealot Seller Portal I thought that it would be fine calling someone at the call center who would be able to assist me, but alas.....from pillar to post…….FROM PILLAR TO POST.
Margaux then managed to assist me in listing my items on their website which took a whole week and a half for something that could take less than an hour. I had to resubmit photos of items more than 7 or 8 times and redo everything each and every time. Every time I’d receive an email from an individual whose notes/comments on what to rectify is so unclear that I didn’t have a choice but to call your call center.
You call them and asked to be called back only to be told it can be done in 72 hours…..72 hours?!?!?! When you need help now?!?!?! I had to waste and load more air time to again waste my time loading pictures that were not correct. No one could tell me which website you could refer to, to rectify the pictures, but again….Margaux sent me a video to which websites I could check out for help. Magaux advised that I should only send 1 item to the Cape Town depot and 1 to JHB, but I could send more if I wanted, which I did. All this took about 2 months to do…..2 months…..I thought I was in the clear, but alas, again, once again more issues.
I went on holiday beginning of October 2022 and was emailed by Margaux advising me I was only supposed to send 1 item to each depot so the “lead time” could be activated. As I was out of town with my family I completely lost it as I couldn’t believe that the items where still not “correct” after she told me that it was numerous times. My response to her on 5 October 2022 was not a very pleasant one as I had told her I’m going away with my family and did not want to be bothered with things from Takealot, but alas.
I asked her to give me a call on 10 October 2022 so we could sort out all the issues Takealot still had. It’s the 25th of October 2022 and I’ve still not heard from her. Earlier this month Takealot let me know that I should collect an item where I drove to Milnerton and was told that the item was not there and the booking confirmation ref and exception numbers should be the same. As I was not told by anyone prior to me going to Milnerton to collect, I assumed that all would go well….I WAS WRONG….I still don’t have the 1 item and it’s probably been destroyed by now.
On my return from my trip I requested that the items sent to JHB and Cape Town be returned. I was to collect the Cape Town items on 26 October 2022. When getting to the collection address in Milnerton I found that the building/offices were closed. I spoke to a security guard who told me that the building was closed and that I could collect my item at the Takealot pick up point around the corner. Can you believe that when I got there they didn’t have it and couldn’t tell me which building/division/department I should go to? I was told to go to the main offices around the corner and was told by security that that depot was to deliver stuff and not pick up. So, where are my items?
I was told by Chumani.N (call center agent) that everything is sorted and that my stuff was sent to the warehouse at 9 Chain Ave. So if he didn’t know it was closed or not operating, how do you think I would know? If you’re staff’s not clued up about what’s happening in your company, how the hell do you think customers are supposed to know?
I want my shirts delivered to me free of charge as an apology for the lousy service and months I’ve wasted trying to sell stuff through you. If my shirts are destroyed within 10 or 12 days or whatever time it takes for you bunch to respond to people, I will take this further. Truly an ***********/lousy, bunch of people working at your company.
