Horrible Service
I purchased a tv in 2018
In October 2019 the remote control broke. I went to many stores enquiring of getting a replacement remote. Eventually I was informed with Sinotec a universal remote control will not work. In December I made contact with Sinotec head office in Midrand. Elizabeth advised they do not have stock of the specific model for my tv and I should wait. I phoned her again after about 10 times for followup if they got more stock and she said they don’t but she will program one for me. A colleague that lives in Midrand paid and collected the remote and had it delivered to Cape Town. I got the remote control and it worked perfectly for two hours then it would not read the tv. I had a friend assist me and he programmed the tv and it only worked for 15 minutes. I phoned Sinoprima again but Elizabeth was on leave. A colleague of Elizabeth, Gerhard said if the lights on the remote works then it’s the tv that’s the problem. He then advised me to take the TV to a place on the Northern Suburbs. I phoned the place and the guy advised its best I make contact with the people that I made the initial purchase at of which I did the moment I hung up the phone. I explained this to the lady. The tv was returned on the 5th January. I was informed a refund will be given after evaluation 3-5 working days. Excited I told the guy I was doing a purchase I would pay for the new tv on the 15th January. I mean its Takealot I was dealing with so I expected to get the money then…..? Perhaps Takealot should just keep the TV and use my refund money to contribute for training for your staff!
