Honesty maybe not the best policy when it comes to Takealot.com

Today after opening my order received from Takealot.com I noticed that they delivered a pack of three Canon black Ink cartridges instead of only one cartridge. Being raised by excellent parents I immediately informed Takealot.com of the problem with the intention to have the 2 additional cartridges returned and only keep the one I paid for.

However the person on the other end of the line, after consulting with Takealot.com management, informed me that I do not have that option. According to him my only two options are to pay in R700 extra and keep all three cartridges or return all three cartridges and after it has been returned and examined by the warehouse will they dispatch a new cartridge. How long is that going to take??? Not very customer orientated, is it?

I requested a refund as alternative (which option was not even given by Takealot.com. Not sure how long that is going to take or even if I will receive the refund either.

So instead of keeping quite like most people would, it is now just an inconvenience.
