Highly annoyed and disappointed

I am VERY disappointed with the delivery service in East London. I ordered a parcel of nearly R2k and the delivery date was for a Monday. I was not going to be available to collect he order so I arranged for someone to be at my place. Then I received an sms to say I was getting the package the Saturday before so I cancelled the arrangement I had made. I received the message to say the order was out for delivery, I then received a message stating the package could not be delivered as no one was available to receive it. I received no calls whatsoever saying the driver was at my place. I have received packages before and have had no issues. I contacted Takealot immediately and was told the driver had left the area and will not return. I explained there would be no one to collect the Monday and they refused to come back. Saying the had called which I know they hadn’t as I had no missed calls. I offered to collect the package at the depot and they refused. I offered to meet the driver wherever he was and they refused!!!! I am so angry with them. The consultant was trying so hard to help me but the depot is being unreasonable. I have gone out of my way to try get my package which is fully paid for and paid the delivery fee and they simply refuse.
