Hassle Free Return Policy - I do not think so...

I recently bought a Casals 2500W Generator that was delivered Nov 2017 through Takelot.com

Everything was going great until 17 Dec 2017 when smoke started coming out of the unit and I then switched it off. After waiting for it to cool down, I tested the unit and found it to be faulty.

I went on the Takealot.com website and proceeded to the help section where I then logged a return on Sunday afternoon. I received an SMS that the return logged will be collected between 1:00pm and 5:00pm on Mon 180 Dec 2017. This did not happen.

On Tuesday I phoned the Takealot.com helpdesk and spoke to one of the consultants who advised me that the return was cancelled because they do not collect in my area, I said it was bull**** because the Generator was delivered to my home address, so what is the problem then? She rescheduled the collection for before 5:00pm on Web 20 Dec 2017. Well guess what? That did not happen either as I received an SMS that same day for my return that was rescheduled again for collection before 5:00pm on Thu 21 Dec 2017. I even phoned and E-mailed again and collection was confirmed and, you will never guess what happened? - Nothing... Again the collection did not happen.

So now I am ****ed off, upset and I feel so Frustrated with these *********** staff that is supposed to help you and keep the company's name high and mighty.

When this situation will be resolved, I don't know, maybe August 2018 after they realise that "Oh **** - We forgot" moment sets in, Who knows?

Takealot even has the "Smile Guarantee"slogan at the end of their e-mails - How about that! Maybe they should remove it as it only clutters the e-mail, that's all, IT MEANS NOTHING!

So IF you buy something on Takealot.com, you better hope the product lasts as long as you bargained for as your return will not happen and you will be paying for something that you cannot use and be stuck with it..............
