Hassle-free exchanges and refund is a lie

On the 1st of November I ordered an IPhone cover which was delivered on the 8th of November. Upon receiving the item I realized the order for the wrong iPhone. I immediately requested a return on the item and knew I didn’t want to order the same quality case so I requested that my account gets credited so I can look for something else. My request to return the item was declined because “the package was open” but it didn’t even come in a box, it literally came in bubble wrap. Till today I’m still getting denied a refund. Even though the item literally says hassle free exchange or refund. TakeAlot also still has the item and are not giving me feedback anymore
