Good & Selling, Hopeless Support

I purchased a Dyson vacuum cleaner in 2015 from TakeALot, this unit comes with a 5-year warranty.

Around a 2 weeks ago, the unit performance deteriorated. Despite me following all the necessary maintenance instructions in the manual. I then went onto the Dyson website & got contact details off their support page. The vendor came out to pick up the machine & then a dispute occurred as to the repair under warranty.

I then reached out to TakeALot to assist & to my dismay was completely brushed off. I informed the call centre agent - Noxolo Tshaka of my issue. She simply stated that I should have booked the machine in with them instead & that I must go online & log a repair. I informed her that the unit is actually currently with the repair agents & it would be difficult for me to get the machine back & then to TakeALot. Unfortunately, Noxolo couldn't care less & kept repeating herself. I informed her that I would like for her to escalate this matter to someone in management, however, her response was that "they will tell you the same thing I am".

I then informed her that should she not assist, I will escalate above her myself. She reluctantly agreed, however after the argument she put up earlier, I was not convinced that she would really assist. I then received an email from her a few minutes later, stating that I must book the machine in with TakeALot once again. When I looked at the information she had sent the buying department, it did not reflect all the facts & she has pre-empted a particular response from them. I then tried informing Noxolo of my dissatisfaction with her communication, however, it was like dealing with a broken record as she kept repeating herself again.

The short of it is that TakeALot could no longer give a damn about their customers & more specifically the aftersales support. We live in a society where people are desperate for jobs, how to retail businesses keep employing *********** staff & placing them in customer facing roles?

Most disappointing.
