Generally OK, but be wary of the delivery date and double-check those "specials".

I use takealot fairly regulary and I'm generally happy with their service. Judging though by their lack of response, to all the thousands of complaints here, they don't take "customer service" too seriously. One of my main gripes would be the misleading "ships in x days" message they place next to a product. This is when their supplier ships it not when takealot will eventually deliver it. The actual delivery time is usually much longer than this. It wouldn't take much "AI" to show you the real estimated delivery time, based on historical data. I suspect though, that if they did this people probably wouldn't order it. So this is just "false advertising" in my opinion. Takealot currently dominate this sector, but if I were them I wouldn't get too complacent.
