Gaming chair return

My daughter bought a gaming chair on their site, needless to say the chair was not very good and would not be suitable for her, we then proceeded to return the chair to takealot. I disassembled the chair, and put all the hardware in the box as we recieved it. The only part i could not get in the box was the base, as i could not remove the piston, which i then tape to the box on the outside The problem started when the courier collected the big box in a car, which was already loaded with lots of items. I helped the guy to load it. Now they are refusing to refund the item, saying there is scratches on the base, which was not there when i sent the item. I have been trying to speak to someone abot this, but not once did anyone at takealot return my call. I will never purchace or give them a good review, as this situation is shocking. What a dishonest company
