FAULTY PRODUCT AND BAD SERVICE.

I bought an item. Two weeks later I gifted it to someone and they discovered there is a part missing. I immediately reported it - it has a 6 month warranty. I was told to return it - I did ... Now they keep telling me they need to send it back because the 7 days have expired. This is ridiculous. How is it possible that a 6 month warranty is now not valid? Years and years of buying and now I am not even able to speak to anyone I just get repetitive messages that I must provide a return address! Why? I do not want a broken product. Why is the warranty not valid? Why do I get no answers?
