Faulty appliances

I Bought a Enzo hair straightener from Takealot and after 10 months the Iron is just dead and not working anymore all i was told was its not there problem in a sense and i must call the manufacturer and sort it out with them. My frustration is that the lady i spoke to was unprofessional speaks as if she has no urge to assist me and then before she drops the call in my ear she tells me management is not willing to speak to me or assist me and she drops the call. No number or nothing for the manufacturer even given. Is this what such a well known online company stand for as i did not purchase this product from the manufacturer i purchased it from Takealot and really expected better service from then as for me this is there product as they are selling it and putting on all the nice reviews. I never received such a bad service from them but today just totally gave me an eye opener.
