False sales prices
Last week I searched for a clothing steamer on Takealot and found a Homemark one (R309) and a Sunbeam version (R199). I told my husband about it and we decided to wait until this week.<br> This morning I receive an email for the Oh So Christmas sale, and excitedly I go look to see if one of these two items are on sale. They are indeed, but their prices are exactly the same as when I looked (twice on different days!) last week, except now it says it's R199 (allegedly previously R239) and R309 (allegedly previously R349). You could argue that Takealot increased their prices over the weekend (as we've experienced before) and is now having a sale on THOSE prices, but such dishonesty will see me rather buying elsewhere.<br>
We'd like to shed some light on the products and pricing included in our Oh My Christmas sale.
The purpose of this sale is to exhibit ALL offers which we believe to be exceptionally well priced, in one convenient location to ensure our customers have the most pleasant shopping experience possible. In addition to products specifically selected and discounted for this particular sale, we also include our hottest products that currently have a savings of 30% or more. It's therefore likely that this sale will include products with savings that you could have seen last week. Products in our sales departments also include a WAS and NOW price to showcase the savings. The WAS price is the recommended selling price we received from the supplier when the item was first listed on the site.
