False Promises
16 November 2017 - I went to the 947 Cycle Challenge expo at The Dome to register my racing chip and make last minute purchases. At the expo was a TakeAlot.com stall which was promoting the UE Ultimate Ear products. I was highly interested in purchasing one for the day of the ride, but the promoters there informed me that we could only purchase them online. I argued that it would be pointless to do so because I would never get my item in time for race day. They assured me that it would be delivered same day - TakeAlot had apparently promised this. When I got home I placed the order and requested the "Guaranteed Weekend Delivery" option to ensure my product would arrive before race day (even though by all technicality I should be receiving the product today Friday 17 November 2017).
17 November 2017 - I receive the following sms "Hi Gemma-Leigh, your Takealot Order # ********** 7 will be delivered before 5:00 PM on Mon 20 Nov. See you soon!"
I am FURIOUS!!! What must I do with that?! Not even an option for me to go and collect the item myself to ensure I have it on race day! False promises of note! Shame on you Takealot. I have YET to have a positive experience with you and your service!! I would not recommend your services to ANYONE! In fact I will make sure everyone knows you cannot be trusted to fulfill your promises!!! Telkom needs to remove your stand from all future expos!
