False Pricing by suppliers using Takealot Platform

Usually I an please with Takealot service and promptness of delivery, however my last transaction I ordered an item which was advertised as R399 plus R64 delivery on Takelalot's site. When the package arrived there was a price of R180 on the original box inside. Upon enquiring to Takealot regarding the difference, they simply told me they were not responsible for the vendors price and that I should contact the vendor directly. My point is I am Takealot's customer and hence they should be responsible for the transaction to be fair. This is not a lot of money and yes I could return the package and get a refund, my point is that if Takealot allows companies to use their platform and display false pricing, how are we as the consumer protected. Takealot has some serious slopey shoulders....
