False information about warranty

I used Takealot ALOT- I was a great customer and often recommended them until now I bought an ice machine in 2020- big draw card was the 24 month warranty- machine stopped working just short of 24 months Takealot then sent to the manufacturer and I was told the 24 month warranty only app**** if I registered the product with the manufacturer. None of that information was on the Takealot site when I bought the machine . So essentially, false information on the website I repeatedly asked to have my complaint addressed but I was fobbed off . I will be reporting Takealot to the consumer Ombud and I will no longer be buying from Takealot
