False information about delivery of order

I ordered two books from Takealot.com on the 4th May and my order was cancelled, that was all good and well until I reordered the books and delivery date was expected to be 30th May. I changed recipient number on the system because I realised the number I had initially registered on the portal was unavailable and they sent a confirmation email with regard to change of numbers. I am appalled by the fact that my order despite having to wait this long has been labelled as "Recipient was not available for delivery, so we'll reschedule" despite never having received any calls from them on the 27th and 28th May. I do not get why they did not just stick to expected date of May 30th to avoid causing all this confusion.
