False advertising with prices

I have been a loyal supporter of Takealot for a number of years and I have purchased many products during this time. However, it recently occurred to me that Takealot when it comes to their pricing. Case in point - I have been following the price of the Nikon D7000 for a while now and over the last 12 months, the products has remained at R8999, and dropped once to R6999 as part of the camera special last November. <br> <br> Now, the camera is marked at R8489 and says that has been discounted from R13489, representing a 37% discount on the price!<br> <br> But this isn't true. The camera has not been discounted from R13489 because it has been priced at R8999 for almost a year. Better yet, the Nikon D7000 and Twin lens kit was priced at R9995 just two months ago. <br> <br> That amounts to false advertising. Does Takealot believe that customers are that stupid? The product has not been discounted by 37% and this needs to be changed. The product has in fact been discounted by 6%. <br> <br> People aren't stupid to fall for this trap that the camera is an item priced at R13000-plus. <br> <br> I've also let comments under product review and they've never been added. I wonder why! Does Takealot have something to hide?<br>
