False advertising! Very Disappointed!
<p>I am extreemly disapointed with Takalot, I placed an order on thier "Black Friday/Blue Dot" Sale for multiple items. When it came time to checkout one of the items price jumped up R50. When I called to query I was told that the amount was not guarenteed until checkout and it meant that the item had sold out and so the price was then the original amount. This made no sense to me because the advertised original price was R900 and the item jumped from R399 tp R449 which was not the original amount so either they falsely advertised the original amount or they **** about why it increased, so after speaking to yet another person I was then told that because it was "Black Friday" and the high volume in users was causing the system to experience a few bugs, So then when I then insisted that they fix the bug and give me the item for the advertised sale price but he refused. After a lot more back and forth I was told that he would get his manager to call me back, this never happened! Anyway long story short it then took me having to speak to 2 more people to just cancel this item from my order.</p> <p>Then to add insult to injury one of the other sale items that I bought was a Kids Super Trike Bike for my Son for an early Christmas present. The picture showed the bike as being Blue, Red and Yellow. When I placed my order it did not give me the option to choose another colour and so I never thought twice about it, but then when the item arrived it was PINK and blue for a girl. I returned the item the next day for an exchange explaning that I wanted the RED and blue bike for a boy as advertised. After a few days of waiting I was told today that they would credit me for the bike (not even my money back!) That would be fine except that I cant even reorder the bike because the price is no longer the same anymore because its not on sale anymore! Now I have to explain to my Son why I cant give him the Bike he wanted. I am so flipping disapointed!!!!!! Takealot really lost a lot of respect from me now thanks to this whole experience, I am going to find it very hard to trust thier "deals" again. False prices advertised and incorect items advertised, come now guys is this really how to run a buisness??!!</p>
I must say I am very pleased about the way that Takealot is handeling my complaint, they have kept me in touch every step of the way. It turns out that the picture of the bike that I believed to be Red and not Pink was just a poor quality picture and it was indeed pink and not red and so there was no fault on the side of Takealot. I am hoping that they continue to handle the rest of the matter as efficiently as they have up until now, Thanks guys for restoring my faith!
