False advertising and de*****ing using combo deals

Placed an order on takealot.com and they had a Combo deal for a washing machine which was selling at R4 700 with a setup voucher value of R829 attacjed to it.

The order was cancelled as they failed to deliver the goods. Upon canceling the order the combo deal no longer app**** and they refuse to refund the R829 that was for setting up the machine.

No service was rendered by takealot in terms of setting up a machine as there was no machine delivered by them. What right do they have withhold refunding this voucher as it was sold as a package with the machine?

This voucher was not purchased as an individual item separately on the order. Why is ist upon canceling the order 2 items that were sold together now are being separated as individual items when it wasnt sold as so?

Never mind that ****, after back and forth on this matter, twice they confirmed approving a refund for this setup voucher, only again to be going back on their word to say it's non refundable.

For 2 months dealing with tne in this matter and everytime it's different stories. They cannot even explain as to how are you refusing to refund for a service rendered. They are not even assisting to supply information regards to this supplier whose taking my money with rendering a service.

How can a service be sold and when failure to deliver the service it's charged on the consumer not the supplier?
