False Advertising and Deceptive Practices

I am extremely disappointed with Takealot’s dishonest and misleading business practices. I recently purchased an item that offered two delivery options. The second option clearly stated “Get it tomorrow,” and during checkout, I chose the more expensive next-day delivery option and paid the additional charges. However, after payment was made, I was informed that next-day delivery was not possible. This is a classic example of false advertising. Why offer a premium delivery service if you have no intention of fulfilling it? Charging customers for a service you know you cannot provide is outright dishonest. This experience perfectly explains why Takealot’s reputation has been declining. The platform is failing its customers by prioritizing profits over integrity. If Takealot continues to deceive its users, it will lose the trust of its customer base entirely. I will not be using Takealot again and strongly advise others to reconsider paying for any so-called “premium” delivery services. Takealot, do better.
