False advertising

Saw what I thought was a great deal on takealot, a subwoofer and an amplifier. Because I had previous issues with takealot I emailed their information centre and asked them to confirm for me that the amplifier was infact included and they confirmed that the amplifier was included with the subwoofer.

So I proceeded to place the order for the subwoofer and amplifier but when the package arrived it was only the subwoofer and no amplifier. I contacted Takealot and asked them where my amplifier is and they told me that the third-party-seller said that there was no amplifier included in that order and that the best that they can do is to give me an apology. According to Takealot the third-party-seller had provided incorrect information regarding the product description and that I had to sort out the problem with the third-party-seller on my own.

So basically I placed an order for two items but before I placed it, I asked them to confirm that it actually is two items which they confirmed. When I received my order it only had one item in it and I'm still waiting for the second item.

Im not a lawyer but I think I was a victim of false advertising and/or bait marketing.
