False advertising!

I placed an order on Takealot on the 14.10.2019. The estimated dated of delivery was 23.10.2019 which I thought was strange because I have purchased from them many times before and would always receive my order within 2-3 days. I received an email yesterday 21.10.2019 to say there is a delay with their supplier. Today I got an email from takealot saying that they are cancelling my order as they are unable to source the item from their supplier and a credit will be app**** to my takealot profile. I am shocked at this! Surely they should make sure there is stock available before selling the product on their website!! Also, I would have preferred if someone contacted me directly to ask me what I wanted and not just assume that I would like a credit. I am not happy with this! It is false advertising and I want a REFUND not a credit on my profile!
