**** Perfumes!

I am utterly disappointed with Takealot.com's parallel import perfumes! We purchased a 100ml parallel import perfume ,Flower by Kenzo, in the month of December last year before Christmas from Takelaot.com which costed R1000. This was a gift for my mum-in law as she loves this perfume. I googled parallel import and even called Takealot numerous times to find out if the quality and longevity of the scent will be long lasting and as fragrant as the original. I was advised that the perfume is just as the original just that it is imported without the approval or licence of the registered owner of that trade mark. As skeptical as i was I took their word for it...but to my demise. A few days ago my mum in law decided to use the perfume for the first time as she wanted to finish her old perfume first...she was so disappointed because the fragrance was not the same, nor was it long lasting. Before lunch time the scent was gone!!! Takealot.com...just be direct and inform people that this is either a **** or the quality is just not the same! Utterly disappointed because a R1000 that could have been spent on an original, but smaller bottle would have been more worth it! I was advised by one of the consultants from Takealot that they would not refund me my money because the perfume was used. It's ridiculous honestly! Please dont buy Parallel imported perfumes from Takelaot.com or anywhere else!
