Extremely Dissatisfied

I have always been an advocate for takealot. Downloading the app to other people’s phones and showing them the nice specials. Bragging about the great service. Arrgh until havibgvti return something for the first time. I buy anything and everything from takealot from nappies to fishing gear, heaters,sports equipment, computers, power banks, toys, books, stationery, kitchen appliances etc. etc. I’ve never had to return anything until last week. Just over a month ago I purchased a gaming console. The old vintage ones that aren’t wireless. When I opened the box the product was cheap and after playing twice the wires already came loose from the controllers. The game still work so I didn’t send it back thinking that it’s petty. What a big mistake not to return cause a few weeks later when we switched on the console then there was no power. Then I logged a return and it was declined because of the loose controller wire?? Yes they didn’t even check that the console doesn’t work. They just saw the controllers and declined the return. I am gutted because being a very loyal client does not matter. For me spending R58363 in last 12 months with no returns at one store is being loyal. And now they won’t return a defective product. I going to return everything that I can which a purchased. I have majority of the packaging and I’ll buy the products else where. Then I’m unsubscribing from their mail list. Deleting the app and NEVER purchasing from Takealot again. Embarrassed to have recommended this company to so many people.
