Estimated delivery miraculously changed to the next day without any notification.

I placed an order and selected the express delivery option for same day delivery for collection at Midrand Bridge. I placed the order before 9am and the email confirmed that it would be ready for collection same day later the day. Later when I was planning to leave, I did a check to track the delivery only to discover all of a sudden, the estimated delivery has miraculously changed to the next day as an estimate to ship..... why lie to me even on email confirming it will be same day but just update it quietly and hope it's fine. I cancelled the previous order that I did minutes before for the exact same thing as I was going to jhb and would collect it on my way back since it would be the same day. now I need to do ANOTHER unnecessary trip all the way to Allandale just to make a U-turn to go and pick up my order on a day that I did not plan for it, now it's costing me to drive +- 45km (Round trip) for a pick up that would have been avoided if takealot kept to its delivery details, this item is costing me a hell of a lot more due to fuel that I need to drive out and time that I did not make plan for because of bad management from takealot, no wonder the amount of negative reviews are growing. order number #***. I will be looking at other online shopping options going forward and anyone reading this review please make sure you have all the time and fuel in the world if you are planning on using Takealot in the future. I am done with Takealot, lesson learned, and personal plans affected negatively because of Takealot not keeping to what they preach.
