Empty promise a lot

I placed an order on the 6th for a laptop bag. On their website it says it takes 5 to 7 days to get it from the seller and my estimated date of delivery would be the 17th of June. On the 18th I sent a query to advise when my item would be delivered. Nobody could give me a straight answer and I also contacted their Facebook page. Only today, the 22nd my order gets canceled. Where am I supposed to get a birthday present for the 24th. Takealot has failed to communicate with me regarding my order and the item is still being sold online and not removed as out of stock.
