Effectively Amounts to Theft...

I really didn't expect it to come to this, but the way Takealot has been handling this situation basically amounts to theft.

Takealot has taken the faulty Corsair RAM kit, and told me it's not their responsibility. I now have to either wait for a replacement, which may never come to fruition, or simply accept a refund of 75% of the value of the item.

So basically, this is the same as if I were to send a R100,000 car in for a service, and upon collection be told:

"Sorry sir, your car has been serviced, but they we know where it is. We understand your frustration, but it's not our responsibility, as we sent your vehicle away. You can either wait for your vehicle to possibly turn up, or we'll give you R75,000 for it out of the kindness of our hearts"

I sincerely hope this sheds some light on why this situation is frustrating us to no end. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. If you can't even get quality service from a reputable company such as Takealot, who can you trust?
