EBOOK JUST NONSENSE AND RIPOFF

<p>I bought ebooks on Kalahari.com now trading as Takealot.com between 2014 and 2015 and downloaded them in my devices which unfortunately got lost. I tried downloading my books ( Which range between R500 and R1400) on my kindle (which I bought from takealot.con) and they were not available. I then tried to download them on my recent smartphone (dololo downloading) it gave me a message "token unavailable"</p> <p> </p> <p>I then phoned Takealot.com and I was advised to send an email, and Nashima responded asking my exact query and I explained then I was sent an email to provide title of the books which I did. A response came telling me about the number of times I can download the book. From time to time publishers and authors remove their work from sale for a number of reasons whether its business call or due to infringements on copyright policies etc.</p> <p>We therefore try to outline this on our terms and conditions which states "Takealot does not guarantee that eBook publishers will make their eBooks available for download indefinitely and Takealot accepts no responsibility or liability to you or any other person if, upon your accessing and clicking the Link, the relevant eBook publisher no longer has the eBook available for download via such Link, provided that, if you discover and report such a problem within 6 months of your receipt of the Link, you will be entitled to a full refund of the purchase price paid therefor."</p> <p>That being said its always safest to download and back up at least 1 copy of your book for safe keeping when purchasing books in the future and to do so within the 6 month time frame, in case your device gets ****** or should it no longer be function able or if the books get removed from sale, which would prevent you from more downloads.</p> <p>It is our goal to provide the best possible service we can and to continue to improve more and more, we therefore sincerely appreciate your feedback and views as they are vital for us to do so.</p> <p>Please feel free to contact us should you have any other queries or if you require any additional information.</p> <p>Kind regards,</p> <p><br />Rogan Murray</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Is this really fair, I thought books are a lifetime investment. I advise all those who love books to stick to the traditional way of reading or buying books which is HARD COPY</p> <p> </p> <p>Now I must buy the books again because I need them.
