Dropping Standards
Takealot must be resting on their laurels after merging with Kalahari.
This is the second time I have a delay in my order. Both of them 2 days late on the specified delivery time.
Either correct your delivery time at purchase or at least have some correspondence with you clients explain to them that you have an issue with delivery.
Firstly the track your order on the website is totally useless. This should be a basic feature on a retail website and to not have it work is ridiculous.
If a delivery will take 5 days then state it at the beginning of the purchase. This will give me an idea if I have to make an alternative plan, rather than me ordering and then having to make extra contingency plans because of the late delivery.
If something is going wrong with the order, then contact you client, even an automated response would be preferable than having to make your clients call you.
I have been with Takealot from the beginning when you were Take2. You guys started off great, but lately with the merger, you have lost focus with your clients, What made you great was not you prices, but rather your customer service, You are now starting to degrade into the realm of Makro service.
We completely agree with you that should there be any delays or issues with your orders we should be the ones to reach out to you with the relevant information. First we'd like to apologise for missing the promised delivery date and secondly for not contacting you to explain why. We deliver thousands of parcels on time and as per the agreed delivery date daily, so it's disappointing to hear that this hasn't been the case with your recent deliveries and we're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.
We've asked our complaints team to look into the delay with your orders to confirm what has caused the hold up and why this wasn't communicated to you. They'll be in touch with feedback and will make sure that this matter is resolved ASAP.
Sincerely,
