Drivers try to ***** parcels!

Please do proper checks on the people you employ. Your driver did a delivery at my workplace for someone else at 08:25 yesterday. He told our receptionist that he "forgot" my parcel and that he will be back by 12 to deliver it. He then proceeded to change the status of my parcel to delivered at 08:25. He obviously had my order with the other persons order and thought it was okay to keep mine for himself. The branch where the delivery came from, does not get back to the customer service people or answer their calls. Disgusting, pathetic and so wrong!

The branch (Parow Industrial) eventually got back to customer service, but I opted to rather go to the branch myself to get this sorted out sooner. The driver (Jacob) had apparently told the branch manager that our receptionist said that it was fine for him to complete both orders and that she signed for both orders, but that it was fine for him to deliver mine later, as he had forgot mine at the branch, which is a big lie, because it would have then still been there when I went to the branch. Also according to the order status, I signed for my order at 08:25, which I did not. Customer service also told me that my signature was apparently just a line. Really now?? As far as I know, when takealot delivers an order, they scan the barcode on the box, the customer signs and the order status will immediately change to delivered. This tells me that Jacob had the parcel with him the whole time and was not planning on delivering it. I was told by the manger that he (Jacob) would come back to my workplace to deliver the order. He also kept changing his story, to make it seem as if he had already dropped off the parcel. After I went to the branch myself and spoke to the manager, the driver eventually came here at 14:40, left the order at the gate and left. Didn't even bother to come in and leave it at reception. This just shows that he is guilty of wanting to ***** the parcel as he was not willing to face me.

When the manager called me again after the parcel was delivered, I was informed that it is not the first time that this driver does something like this. So why is he still trusted to deliver peoples parcels???

The manager was really helpful in recovering my order, so thank you for that. I do, however, hope that Jacob will be disciplined accordingly.
