Dont buy from "BRAKE_A_LOT.com"

<p>I bought a remote controlled helicopter for my firend's son's 11th birthday and on its ****en flight it hit into a chair and the rotor blade broke. I contacted Takealot to buy a spare but they said they dont deal in spares. I asked to be put in touch with the supplier so that i could try buy spares directly and they said they cant give me their details.</p> <p> </p> <p>I then said could i return the toy and Takealot could return it to the supplier and suggest that they make the rotor from a stronger material. They told me to bring the toy in which i did - but the clerk looked at it and said that because it was damaged they cant refund me ??? So why then had they told me to bring it in?</p> <p> </p> <p>The toy was about R400 and i felt very angry that within 5 minutes of playing with it - it was already unusable.</p> <p> </p> <p>Why couldnt Takealot help me get a spare? Or why couldnt they use their buying power might to have their supplier fix it or upsell me to one that isnt made from cheap *******?</p> <p> </p> <p>regards</p> <p>Doug</p>
