Does the law apply here?

On 5 March 2019 I place an order on the Takealot app (order nr ********** 3), all the items I ordered was on "sale/clearance". I put the items in my cart the evening of the 4th and left it over night to make sure the prices are correct. The next day just before 6pm I received a notification that my order was cancelled. I went onto the app and checked the items I ordered and they were all available and in stock but the prices was changed. I then send a query to Takealot as to why my order was cancelled seeing as the items are in stock. I received a reply a customer service agent, stating the following - "Following up on your query we sincerely apologize for cancelling your order as the items on your order had an pricing error. Please be advised that you are more than welcome to place a new order.". So I could get every item I ordered but at a price that was adjusted drastically. I rep**** to the email and said that the items was advertised at the prices I ordered them and that following to my knowledge Takealot is not acting in accordance with the consumers protection act. The reply I received was that they corrected their error on their app and that is it. Now I have been a Takealot client for many years and order almost every month from them , but this was a shock . Is this company above the law?
