Do not shop on TAKEALOT until you read this.... Pathetic service is an understatement!

I have never received such a pathetic service. I place an order on takealot on the 24th of Nov. Worth R2 289 and the delivery was scheduled for today before 5pm as they say when you track delivery on their APP. My missety started at 4.30pm. I was still waiting for my delivery and I had knocked off at that time, i called and spoke to a very calm gentleman who said the delivery guy was at Pretoria West and his next stop was me and that he will Send him a text. Came 5pm still no delivery, I called again and I was told that the delivery person was stuck in traffic on his way to me. 5.30pm I called again and I was told that delivery person is in Pretoria West busy offloading. Their stories started contradicting and I asked for the manager who also gave me stories but assured me that the driver is on his way to me and will ask the driver to give me a call since he will get to me in the next 10 - 15min. There was no form of communication to me prior my calls to inform me of any possible delays. I knocked off at 4.30pm and was still waiting. During my endless phone calls, I mentioned to many of then that I left a 3 month old baby who does not eat solid foods and only feeds on breast milk but I guess that was falling on deaf ears. I called at 6pm and again at 6.30pm still waiting with no form of communication being made to me. I was only getting feedback when I made calls. It was about 6.45pm I spoke to Stanely Weasels and explained to him that my baby is starving at home, I've been waiting and I'm getting no feedback, my order has been out for delivery since 8.44 am this morning. He said the driver had a lot of deliveries to make and the car broke down he can't get to me anymore, I asked to speak to the manager yet again because I left a small baby at home and without any empathy or sympathy for my baby, he said my to me "But my manager will tell you the same thing". I did not believe my ears when I heard that. I cannot believe that this is the type of service I will be spending my hard earned money one. I only got an sms at 19.47pm that my delivery will be scheduled for tomorrow.

Fast forward, I got home to a screaming baby. Her cry pierced through my heart. Had they been transparent with me from the get go, I should have knocked off and came home straight to my baby. Now I wonder if tomorrow I will have to put my baby through the same thing.

After this experience I am NEVER SHOPPING ON TAKEALOT ever again. I am writing this at 21.53 pm and I still can't get to make my baby sleep as she is crying and not fewsong properly. Thanks a lot TAKEALOT, thank you.
