DO NOT BUY SHOES FROM TAKEALOT

I ordered 3 pairs of shoes for my daughter for an event which is still to take place. The order arrived on the Saturday morning, the one set of sneakers (white soles) was not suitable/did not look good with the outfit she was planning to wear. She had them on for less than 2/3 minutes till we made the decision. She might have walked to her bedroom and back in them. They went back in the box and I logged the return on the Sunday morning and they were collected on Monday morning. Takealot are refusing to take them back as they say they were worn. It is impossible that the damage was done whilst she tried them on. The other 2 pairs of shoes treated in the exact same way have no such evidence of being used. We have tiles throughout the house. They must have been like that when they were received. As they were on the bottom of the shoes we did not notice it. In short Takealot is calling me a **** and based on my previous returns and purchases made in the past they should know that I would not claim if they had been worn. This means that will now think 100X before supporting them and will look at rather using other online suppliers.
