Do not buy computer components from takealot, their support is shocking!

While I purchase a lot from takealot, I learnt today that you do not purchase any expensive equipment from them. Only cheap things!

I ordered an expensive computer component from them, within two weeks I noticed a few issues so I decided not to take any chances and rather have it returned for a new unit. However the pricing for this particular unit has gone up by R8 000.

Takealot confirmed they do not have stock of the item so I had two options, either they send it in for repairs or refund. I responded immediately saying I do not want a refund.

However takealot refunds me and I was not given any other option, this now means I would have to pay an extra R8 000 for the same item.

With other computer stores this would not be an issue, I would have been issued an RMA directly with the provider or have the option to wait for stock or receive a refund. Last time I purchase anything like this from Takealot!!!!!!!

FYI, customer support are useless, they just say there is nothing they can do, I was already refunded!
