Dissatisfied Son

I ordered a product from Takealot and paid extra for same day delivery on 08/12/2025. When I went to collect the package there was only 1 item in the box instead of 2. After 10 call and almost 2 hours I was then told I had to return the product for inspection before they would send the correct items. They then sent me an email stating they would collect the package tomorrow 9/12/2025 which is already a day later then my "same day" which I paid extra for. They now want the item I collected to reach their warehouse before they send me the correct package. So now the "Same day" service is nul and void. They have just ****** the extra fees and I'm sitting without my ordered product on the day it was meant to be delivered. It's my son's birthday today and he has no gift, what must I now tell him?
