Disillusioned ex Takealot customer

Sadly, I purchase a gift of a tent from Takealot and received poor service. Once gifted and opened it became evident that parts were missing. Takealot did not communicate their final decision to not refund me or replace the tent. After two emails , they have refused to honour my request, but leave me with a redundant purchase.
