Dishonesty, thievery and incompetence

<p>On the 12th of January 2017 I ordered textbooks to the value of a couple of thousand rand. I used a coupon that gave me 10% off textbook purchases. To me this means that I will get 10% off the price of every individual textbook that I buy. The next day the emailed me and told me one of the books that I ordered (It was in stock at the time) was now out of stock and they are unable to find another one from the supplier. They told me that they refunded the ammount of the textbook (R354.00) to my takealot account, but if I wanted they can refund the money to my bank account. I chose the latter option and explained to them that I needed the refund done as soos as possible so that I can get the book somewhere else, because my classes are starting whithin the next few days. On saturday the 14th I received a message that only R57.00 of the ammount was refunded. When I emailed them to ask why the entire ammount was not refund, I got curt answers like "we can confirm R57 has been refunded", they did not even answer my question. The total of the discount I received on my order was R297.00 so my theory is that they deducted that discount from the money they where suppose to refund instead of just deducting 10% (R35.40) from the ammount they now owed me. They basically stole the rest of my money! I am a student and I cannot afford to lose almost R300.00. The longer they take to do their math correctly the longer it takes for me to buy a new textbook, that wil lead to me not being able to finish me course work in time and therefor creating the possibility that I may fail my exam and not finish enough credits for my last year of study. I was not the one to cancel this order, they where the ones unable to deliver products available on their website.</p>
