DISGUSTINGLY PATHETIC SERVICE

<p>I purchased a cellphone from TAKEALOT in December 2015. By the middle of this year, the phones battery was giving problems. Sometimes the phone would be fine, sometimes it would not charge or switch on. Sometimes it will only work while plugged into a charger or a power bank. Recently the battery is so swollen that it has become both impossible and extremely dangerous to use! The other day I dropped the phone and accidentally cracked the screen. I logged a return request and in the request I mentioned that the phone's screen was cracked and that I had no problem paying for the screen to be replaced but that the onus is still on them to replace my battery. Before I returned the phone to takealot, I called the repairs centre that repairs this brand of phone. This is the only place in SA that the phone can be repaired. The repairs centre informed me that they replace the battery free of charge if it's swollen and the screen repair will cost R532 to which I agreed. They also told me that I just need to return the phone to them through takealot. Takealot evaluated the item and now refuses to accept my return request and send the phone to be repaired. I am completely and utterly disgusted in their pathetic service and will be writing on their facebook wall and taking this matter further! If I had the option of giving them 0 stars, that is exactly what they would get!!! They have ****** me of R1300 for a device I cannot even use because the battery can explode in my hand!!!</p>
