DISAPPOINTING, TERRIBLE SERVICE

Please note I had logged a retun request on the 10th April 2017 for the item “A Guide through IFRS” which included a set of 4books namey PART A1, A2, B1 AND B2. Of that set B2 was DEFECTIVE it included the exact same content as B1 so I assume it was a misprint. The cover of B2 was correct and had correctly stated B2 however the content was the same as B1. Takealot had collected the PART B2 from me on 11th April. I received a call from takealot on the 12th and the lady had informed me that they require the balance of the books (A1,A2 & B1) as the supplier cannot just replace the one book as they cannot break the seal by law and send the one book so they will replace the entire set. I had informed the TAKEALOT ASSISTANT that I had already highlighted stuff in the book as I use it for my Exam purposes and I had asked if they will accept the books in that condition. She had then told me she will phone the supplier and ask them if they will accept the book. She had phoned me back immediately and said that the supplier will accept the books even though highlighted, as they need the entire set so they can replace the set. The pick up for the balance of the set was scheduled for 13th April FOR WHICH TAKEALOT FAILED TO DO. They then informed me on the 21st APRIL THEY WILL PICK UP THE REMAINING SET TO WHICH I HAD REJECTED DUE TO ME NEEDING MY BOOKS FOR MY EXAM ON THE 25TH AS I KNEW TAKEALOT WILL NOT SEND ME A REPLACEMENT BEFORE THAT. SO WE HAD RESHEDULED FOR 26TH APRIL. AGAIN THEY HAD FAILED TO FETCH MY BOOKS AND I WORK FROM HOME SO I AM HOME THE ENTIRE DAY AS WELL AS MY MUM AND NO ONE SHOWED UP TO FETCH MY BOOKS. On 28th April I have received an email stating that my return has been rejected due to failure of sending the balance of the set. TO WHICH I AM UTTERLY DISSAPPONTED AT TAKEALOT AS THEY HAD FAILED TO PICK UP MY BOOKS AND THEN REJECT MY CLAIM. TAKEALOT ARE STILL IN POSSESSION OF MY BOOK B2 UNDER THE RETURN LOG OF RRN-7f09-59d2!!! A kind assistant has logged another return for me for the pick up of the balance of my books under return log REFERENCE RRN-d641-2cf0
