Disappointing Return Customer Service

At this point it seems you only get attention when you complain. I bought items however when they arrived they didn’t fit my space. Logged a return same day. When returning the items I returned them in the boxes they arrived which happen to be in the items original boxes. I proceeded to write my return reference number on the boxes as instructed by Takealot. They have now declined my return on the basis that they were opened (not sure how I’m meant to inspect a product without unsealing it) and also because I wrote the reference number on the boxes (as instructed by them). I Have requested to speak to someone over the phone but it seems my emails keep finding blind eyes.
