Disappointing and frustrating service

I bought a DJI Avata 2 drone. Excellent drone, until one day, without reason, and without warning, the drone cut-out as I took off. It immediately fell from about 10m in the sky to the ground, and crashed in a puddle of water on a concrete slab. I returned it to Takealot on the premise that the crash was as a result of the drone cutting out in mid air.

The response I got from Takealot was "...unfortunately, damage caused by impact, water exposure, or user handling does void the product's warranty, regardless of the cause, as such damages are categorized as user damage in our policy." The irony is obvious, but the frustration of dealing with their service department is most frustrating, because when I contested this, they simply sent the product back to me and ignore all my emails.
