Disappointing

Ordered a gift for my daughters - was meant to be a surprise. How disappointing that it was delivered with absolutely no packaging at all - my girls instantly saw it and knew what it was. Thanks for spoiling the moment Takealot. Is it now common practice to not package items? What happens with damage from mishandling?
