Disappointed takealot customer

I am a very disappointing takealot customer. Having been a loyal customer and eager online shopper, takealot's customer experience was truly terrible over the last week. We ordered a specific product - and our product was delivered within an acceptable turn around time. However when you collected our product, is was not our ordered product. When we looked at the waybill carefully we realized our purchased product was incorrectly delivered to someone else and vica versa. As it was late on Thursday afternoon already ahead of Easter weekend we couldn't drop off the return / incorrect parcel to be re-collected by the courier. However out of our own we courteously notified the receiver of 'our' parcel via text about the confusion and we both acknowledged that we would drop off the return parcel as soon as possible for re-collection by the courier. Takealot then started a return order process and communicated to us that the parcel will be collected today. When I phoned Takalot customer service I was notified about their return order process of taking both incorrectly delivered parcels to their warehouse first and then re-issuing a 'new order'. However @ 14h30 on April 3rd I got an email stating the following: 'Please be advised that our supplier is sold out of the ____ product. Regrettably, We cannot send you a replacement unit'. This is a lie, considering we confirmed with the individual who incorrectly received our product over a text message that the parcel we ordered did indeed find their way in good condition to the wrong individual. So from delivering our parcel to the wrong address, to processing a simple return to being out of stock in that specific product all in 6 days is really impressive. My personal impression is takelot is taking on more than it simple can handle from a customer delivery perspective. I am very disappointed in: 1) The accuracy of their delivery system, 2) Their internal policy communication to clients and 3) The sheer lack of discomfort their inadequacy causes clients who are required to pay for their products diligently upfront 4) Their lack on honesty about the status of certain product. Which causes me to start assuming - if certain products are really out of stock, or really that hard to procure when I get the messages from my once trusted and admired online retailer.
