Disappointed in Takealot

On the 04 January 2021 I ordered three pulse oximeters which was going for R648. At first they said it was going to be delivered on 18 January 2021. I've been waiting for it since then. In the interim I became Covid positive. Yesterday Which was the 08 January 2021 I decided to track my order which now said my delivery was only going to be here on the 25 January 2021. I now was worried because I need the pulse oximeter to monitor myself. I sent them a message asking takealot, why is the order taking so long. Today on the 09 January 2021 I received a cancelation email from takealot saying that they have no stock of the product anymore. I go back to the app and I still see the product available but it is now going for R2895. If there is no stock of the product then why is it still being advertised at a higher price? I can only assume that takealot want me to pay double the amount and thats why they canceled my order. It is a shame that this is what's happening, especially when we need the pulse oximeter when we have the virus.
