Disappointed first time user of Takealot | Query ***8

After much hype and really feeling like the only person who's never tried Takealot.com, I decided to do so recently when I was shopping online for a waist trainer. I ordered my product and it was due to be delivered on 25 August.

However, I wasn't at home when the delivery van arrived and I later received a message informing me of such and that Takealot.com will reschedule another delivery. Three days later, I decided to log in and track progress. On my account, it was noted that the product was indeed delivered and left with a security guard at my complex called Simon. We do not have such a person at my complex. And I checked with the guards in the neighbouring complexes, in case there was an error, and they showed me that none received my parcel.

I got in touch with Takealot on 4 September - query ***8. The team was helpful at first. But since then, I've received no feedback to my follow up emails. Last email I received was on 6 September. Four days on, I still don't know what happened to my parcel and the call centre is taking time to respond to calls due to high traffic volumes.

First time with service provider, and I have to say the experience has left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Really disappointed at the treatment and service. I must be the exception though, because I know so many people who use them a lot.
