Disappointed by Lack of Response and Inclusivity

Dear Takealot Team,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the lack of response to my concerns regarding your Pride Month promotion.

On 18 June 2024, I emailed your marketing team about the promotion, which exclusively featured ***ual products. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I found this focus troubling and offensive, as it perpetuates negative stereotypes about our community. I suggested that future promotions should more accurately and inclusively represent the diversity and richness of LGBTQ+ culture by featuring a wider range of products such as books, films, and pride-themed merchandise.

I followed up with another email on 24 June 2024, reiterating my concerns and noting that while the promotion had been removed, I had still not received any response. It is now July, and I have yet to hear back from your team.

The lack of response is disheartening and makes me feel unsupported and unheard. It raises questions about Takealot’s commitment to inclusivity and support for the LGBTQ+ community. Ignoring customer feedback, especially on such sensitive issues, is unacceptable.

I urge Takealot to address this matter promptly and demonstrate a genuine commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Your response will be a significant step towards fostering better understanding and acceptance among all your customers.
